Project description:
Il proposed project is to determine selected mechanical and physical properties of modified wood microwave and analysis of their microscopic structure. Work will be part of the appellant's thesis on the topic: The Influence of microwave frequency electromagnetic energy band structure of wood and wood-based materials and their physical and mechanical properties. Fulfilling the objectives will be based mainly on experimental determination of the effect of exposure doses of electromagnetic energy of microwave frequency band of beech woods (Fagus sylvatica) and spruce (Picea abies). The samples will be constructed bodies of the required dimensions for the determination of selected physical and mechanical properties. Experimental base will also be conducted at the microscopic level will be tested and microscopic sections of wood with different initial moisture. The humidity level is around 60-80% (green wood), the second level of moisture will be around 20-22% (vzduchosuchý state) and final moisture level will be responsible vlhkostnímu stage drying the wood fiber saturation point. Microscopic images obtained will be kind and plated. Since this issue no one in the CR does not yet, thanks to the submittal of the project created a real idea about the properties of wood treated with microwave energy with an initial moisture content varied. The concept is based on linking scientific and technological knowledge in the field of radio frequency energy, microwave band, and knowledge of the anatomical structure of wood. The results of the project will aim to create new materials with improved properties, whether mechanical or physical, designed for the woodworking industry.
