The thesis deals with the developing and spreading industrialization in Ghana. The industrialization is expected to have positive effect on economic growth in Ghana. On the other hand it becomes also obvious that the industrialization produces also negative externalities. The effect of industrialization on the environment includes pollution and degradation of land, which has effects on the health status of individuals. The aim of the thesis is to examine the effects of industrialization on selected socio-economic areas including health status and health changes on Ghanaian population.
