|Student is expected to assess impact of export of commodities from a selected African (or Asian) country on domestic economy (GDP growth, (un)employment, inflation, ER, etc.). A comparison study is possible with another (or several other) countries. Quantitative methods considered include time series analysis, breakpoint detection, multiple time series models (VAR) and correlation analysis. A modification of the topic (goals) is possible to suit student´s needs or interests. Student shall formulate recommendations for government authority to increase revenues from commodity export. A good working knowledge of Econometrics is recommended.|
