Recently, increase in theoretical studies and applications that use the principle of epigenetic status of the tissues or whole plants is easily noticeable. One of the relatively available technologies influencing epigenome is the action of substances with a so-called hypomethylation effect. They are able to change DNA methylation chat can impaly changes in the properties of the monitored plants such as the initialisation of flowering, the changed leaf and flower morphology and many others, for the horticultural practice interesting properties. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate possibilities of utilization of epigenetically active substances in the production of hybrid vegetable varieties. Or their ability to change properties of treated plants in terms of increased tolerance to the selected type of stress or towards improved utility will be tested.
