Summary: The study will contain: 1. Theoretical part – a literature review dealing with a forest vegetation zonation (including international sources). 2. Practical part – assessment of the forest vegetation zones/tiers sensu Czech Forest Ecosystem Classification. The study will be conducted on data of the Forest Ecosystem Classification Database of the Czech Forest Management Institute. Data will be processed by available statistical methods. The study objectives: 1. Analysis of a relationship of the forest vegetation zones/tiers and environmental factors available in the database including soils 2. Verification of a practical applicability of the zones/tiers as a basis of the framework management in Czech forestry.
