|Summary:||The work presents various ways to increase the modification of beech false heartwood permeability and the results of the experiment aimed at microwave adaptation. The experiment was carried out with the usage of 2.45 MHz radiation and the power of 0.9 kW, in which the impact was made on two trial bodies in two variations of modification with a different time of radiation. The change in permeability was investigated in the axial direction with the use of special equipment which tests the porous matter. Afterwards in accordance with Darcy's law the stationary permeability coefficient was calculated and the results were statistically evaluated. The outcome of the work was to evaluate the increased permeability and the effect of modification on the mechanical properties of wood. The results showed an average microwave modification increases the permeability coefficient values, but on the other hand, decrease in strength of wood.|
