Title of the thesis:Requirements on health non-hazardous fresh fruits and vegetables
Summary:I formulated this thesis during 2006-2008 in the Department of Post-Harvest Technology of Horticultural Products, Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice na Moravě, Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry. The aim of the dissertation was to elaborate on the hazardous chemical composition of certain fruits and vegetables, and to highlight the requirements of valid legislation on non-hazardous condition of fruit and vegetable. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the value and risks pertaining to their consumption, and additionally summarizes the requirements pursuant to the updated legislation. Finally, this paper illustrates through graphs and tables, the volume of heavy metals and pesticide residues along with their permissible limits and detected percentage in specific fruits and vegetable in the year 2006.
