Title of the thesis:Verification of the possibility of selection forest inventory using sampling method
Summary:The thesis assesses the possibility to employ sampling inventory method as an alternative to full callipering based control method in selection forest. Both measurements i.e. sampling inventory method and full callipering were carried out in forest stand 116A at locality Klepačov (Training Forest Enterprise "Masarykův les" Křtiny (forest district Habrůvka), where a conversion into selection forest has been in progress for the last five decades. Information on growing stock and species composition from both methods were compared using mathematic-statistic methods. Plot centres of the sampling inventory were located using GPS device and using compass and laser range finder. During the measurement, time consuption for the respective methods was also recorded. Accuracy and time consumtion of both methods were used for the comparison. Results revealed information on under which conditions is full callipering or sampling inventory approppriate with respect to selection forest.
