Title of the thesis:The process of cultural adaptation of AIESEC exchange programme participants
Summary:This bachelor thesis deals with the process of adaptation of AIESEC exchange participants to different cultures. The theoretical part explains terms from cross-cultural psychology such as culture, nation, acculturation, adaptation, cultural shock, migration etc. This part is based on many accredited authors and researchers such as P. Adler, J. Berry, G. Hofstede, K. Oberg, P. Pedersen and many others. The practical part of the research is the process of adaptation of AIESEC exchange program participants itself. The aim of this thesis is determined on the basis of questionnaires, especially CrossCultural Adaptation Inventory (CCAI). The results are used to compare the adaptability of the students in the beginning and in the end of the exchange programs and also to compare which personal variables affect the level of adaptability.
Key words:culture, acculturation, AIESEC Exchange program participants, migration, adaptation, cultural shock
