Title of the thesis:Human Resource Management of an International Company
Summary:Aim of this work is to suggest improvements of human resource management in Shared Service Centre of international electrical goods retailer. The main goal lies in proposing changes in the area of employee recruitment and selection, training and development, employee benefits and appraisal. In order to achieve goal of the thesis, comparative method was used to compare human resource management in Shared Service Centre in Brno and in Retail Support Centre in Hemel Hempstead, UK. An online survey was carried out in both company divisions to find out how the employees feel about human resource management in their company and where is space for improvements. The results showed overall lower satisfaction of employees in SSC, the only exception was area of training and development that is obviously more developed in SSC. The survey and analysis of internal policies and processes showed greatest deficiencies in the area of induction trainings, employee benefits, appreciation of employees and transparency of selection process. After analysing the results, improvements were proposed altogether with calculation of financial impact on company costs.
