Summary:Bc. Markéta Michálková, Entering Russian automotive market by company Saint Gobain. Diploma theses, Department of management, Mendel University in Brno, supervised by Ing. Sylvia Gurská, Brno 2011. Diploma theses will be focused on changes of the automotive industry during the last 30 years, current changes and reaction of company Saint-Gobain. First change in automotive industry was a shift of production from Western Europe to Central Europe. In this situation company Saint Gobain was able to support this trend. Nowadays the company is standing before other change which is market of Russia and its boom in automotive industry. The theoretical part describes general models of formulation of strategic planning and its parts. The practical part uses these models to describe current situation and to give concrete steps for implementation. The results show the potential of Russian automotive market and the must of entry for SG. SG should focus on analysis of data, set strategy to enter, implement strategy, later analysis of achieved and possible modification of strategy. Based on internal and external data was suggested a way how to enter to Russian automotive market. The most suitable way is to set plan with exact day of actions.
