Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
To make sense of terminology and to orient in elementary scientific system of pedagogy; to be able to interpret ideas of the most important representatives in worldwide and czech pedagogy; to understand basic problems of education and schooling.

Object of pedagogy, pedagogy and other sciences, structure, importance (allowance 2/1)
Pedagogical research and methodology of pedagogy (allowance 2/1)
Opinion on development of education since ancient till present (allowance 4/2)
Czech educational system, system of education in comparison with foreign countries, inportant pedagogical documents (White paper, School act, general education programs etc.); (allowance 4/2)

Term of education, features of education, aims, styles (allowance 2/1)
Determinants of education (educator, teacher, educant, education instruments) (allowance 2/1)

Assessment methods:
Processing seminary thesis focusing on problem of children and youth education according to scheduled overview of topics in the range of 8 pages. The task will be checked both in group of students, and by teacher in content and formal perspective and it will be evaluated pointwise and verbal.
