Aims of the course:
The goal of the course is to get students acquainted with basic terms in the scope of energetics and technics in connection with economy and provide them an orientation in energy sources structure, energy demands and energy savings in connection with ecological aspects. Meaning of renewable energy sources is emphasized, namely business opportunities in the field on the base of legislation and economical conditions.
Course contents:
1.Course introduction (allowance 6/10)

b.Energy sources on the Earth
c.Ecology problems, GHG generation, thermo emissions
d.Energy as a physical quantity, physical basis, physical units, energy Transformation, transformation efficiency. Heating capacity,
e.Heat pumps
f.Cogeneration - CHP, condensing heating drums (boilers)

2.Solar energy (allowance 6/6)
a.passive and active utilization collectors
c.photovoltaic panels

3.Energy of water and wind (allowance 4/4)
a.small water power plants of oceans of wind

4.Energy of biomass (allowance 10/8)
a.biomass - basic principles
b.thermo-chemical transformations
c.biochemical transformations
d.liquid fuels for internal combustion engines

5.Hydrogen (allowance 2/0)
a.Hydrogen - generation, storage
b.Fuel cells
