Aims of the course:
The aim of the course is to provide students comprehensive information on general postulates as a base for successful achievement of project goals and on soft and qualifying skills of executive project manager, generally called as leadership. Become familiar with efficient communication principles between a leader and lower-level managers responsible for processing of particular project tasks. Students acquire knowledge of targeted usage of motivators to achieve submitter requirements on time. Gain the overview about ethics significance, ethics and principles of successful business negotiating, rules of social behaviour for managers and types of business partnership meetings.
Course contents:
1.Theories of premises to achieve project goals (allowance 3/0)
a.The time competition theory, the learning organization theory, the human relations theory, the tacit knowledge theory. The leadership skills level within working group theory, the decision-making process theory.

2.Strategies to achieve project goals (allowance 3/0)
a.Bargaining power, competitive position, competitive strategy, competitive profile, competitive advantage, comparative advantage. Strategy for goal achievement visualization.

3.Methods to achieve project goals (allowance 3/0)
a.Managerial methods, benchmarking, benchlearning, codified knowledge, tacit knowledge transformation, socialization, externalization, internalization. Knowledge, data and information systematization. Business occasion methods. Mathematical and statistical methods used during analysis of achieved results.

4.Leader position upon working group management (allowance 3/0)
a.Identifying leader position, leader personality, basic personality types, leader's relations, leader's decision-making, leader and goal achievement strategy supporter cooperation, working group management principles.
Time limitation within working group management, setting preferences within working group management, efficient communication, communication styles, basic motives according to Madsen, motivators according to Herzberg, verbal communication skills.

5.Business culture (allowance 3/0)
a.Identifying business culture, principles of business culture, business culture functions, business culture types and elements, business culture changes, business culture philosophy, business culture tools, business culture implementation. Education and training of managers in business culture.

6.Business social groups (allowance 3/0)
a.Social group, principles of social group existence, formal and informal social groups, significance of social groups in achieving tasks and goals, interactions in social groups, social-group members' attitudes, value of differentiated approach of social-group members in relation with environmental and cultural level.

7.Ethics in role of manager (allowance 3/0)
a.Identifying ethics, ethics of communication, presents, bribes, corruption, EU behavioural ethical code, principles of lobbying, goodwill, situational ethics of leaders within dealing with interpersonal conflicts, basic types of managers according to their approach to ethics, economical approach supporters, conventional approach supporters, reformists, idealists.

8.Business negotiation (allowance 3/0)
a.Significance of business negotiation, phases of business negotiation, business negotiation administration, ethics in business negotiation, economical significance of business negotiation, role of manager in business negotiation, differences in business negotiating in EU member states.

9.Social occasions within business negotiation (allowance 4/0)
a.Significance of social occasions, role of leader during social occasions, types of social occasions, etiquette of social occasions participants.

Generic competences:
-ability to communicate with professionals in different field of study

-leadership skills

Specific competences:
-Ability to solve problems creatively and with regard to broader perspectives.
-Ability to understand the basic principles of organization management and operation.
-Ability to use modern tools of management.
-Adopting reasonably assertive forms and ways of behaviour.
