Aims of the course:
The aim of the subject is to make the students familiar with the non-governmental organisations and their role in the area of development cooperation. After finishing the subject the student should know the basic framework of functioning of non-governmental organisations on national and international level, including specific management, economic and financial practices used in this type of organisations.

d.accounting in NGO

4.Financing of NGO (allowance 2/2)
 
a.special practices and approaches in financing - fundraising, sponsoring, donations
b.philanthrophy

5.Partnership and cooperation (allowance 1/1)
 
a.principles of cooperations on all levels (local, regional, international)
b.cooperation between NGO, networking, partnership and participation

6.History of development cooperation and NGOs (allowance 1/1)
 
a.history of development cooperation involving NGOs

7.NGO development cooperation in the world (allowance 2/2)
 
a.principles of development cooperation projects managed by NGOs

Assessment methods:
Participation on semestral group project focused on selected NGO, presentation and defence of the project in the class. The submitting and defence is the condition for credit and condition for the exam.
The exam from the subject is oral, consists of 3 topics, the questions are asked consecutively, the exam has not preparation beforehand. The result is made know immediately.
