Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The purpose of the subject is to give students basic knowledge in the field of General demography and its use in economic decision-making, to clarify basic sources of information, flow and procedures of data evaluation in population situation and processes. The use of demographic methods and data to study the basic questions on different decision-making levels in economic and social domain at the regional, national and international levels. To understand demographic aspects of social and economic development.

Fundamentals of biometrical models and their theoretical and practical meaning

Assessment methods:
Fulfilment of conditions for credit (obligatory attendance in seminars, project submission and its presentation in seminar group). Written and oral exam. For participation in oral exam, written exam must be fulfilled at least 60%. Total grade results from both parts of the exams.
