Aims of the course:
To give a comprehensive overview of the tourism in regional development. To develop a unified, primary knowledge required for university studies. During the course of the semester students will get knowledge of tourism in the cities and in th country. The course explains the role and the importance of the marketing in touirism development. The competences are concerned with all of the solving marketing problems in regional development.

2.Partnership and regional development (allowance 2/2)
3.History and kinds of tourism (allowance 2/2)
4.Marketing tools in tourism (allowance 2/2)
5.Tourism in the cities (allowance 2/2)
6.Tourism in the country (allowance 2/2)
7.Perspectives of tourism (allowance 2/2)
Learning outcomes and competences:
Generic competences:

Specific competences:
-Ability to analyse visitors´ needs and satisfaction.
-Ability to use marketing tools (marketing mix, marketing research, marketing plan etc.).
-Knowledge to use local tourism for local development.
-Skills to prepare own project for local tourism.
-Skills to prepare Partnership for local development.

Assessment methods:
Students are required to meet three conditions to could pass the final exam. 1) The student can not miss out any seminar, 2) a pair of students present selected topic (state of destination management in the selected region) and hand in it in acceptable form (in document format), and 3) participate in the field excursion respectively hand in an alternative task compensated absence on the excursion. After compliance with these requirements, the student will pass the final exam, which is oral - students have to demonstrate theoretical knowledge and the ability to be knowledgeable in the geography of tourism of the Czech Republic based on map outputs.
