Aims of the course:
The aim of the course is to explain the causes and able to characterize the current crisis caused by natural, economic, social and political factors.
 
Course contents:
1.The economic sphere - the impact of geographic objects and processes of crisis phenomena and their impacts on people and the environment. (allowance 12/12)
 
a.Industrial and transportation accidents and their consequences for people and the environment.
b.Air pollution, waterways and groundwater pollution.
c.Integrated Rescue System.
d.The organization of the rescue intervention

2.Crisis management. (allowance 9/9)
 
a.Crisis planning.
b.Critical infrastructure.
c.Flood risk assessment.

 
Learning outcomes and competences:
Generic competences:
 
-ability to work in interdisciplinary team
-ability to work in international context
-skilled at utilizing and processing information

Specific competences:
 
-Ability to analyze the field of crisis management, depending on the type of incident.
-Ability to apply the tools of crisis management in the context of phase dealing with emergencies.
-Acquire knowledge of the principles and patterns of behavior and actions of individuals and groups in crisis situations.
-Analyze and identify weaknesses in crisis management activities of states in the developing world and intervening entities.
-Qualitative and quantitative methods to solve decision problems characteristic when dealing with selected crisis scenarios.
-The ability to synthesize knowledge and experience of major historical crisis events.
