Aims of the course:
Aim of the subject is to provide student with a survey of management as a discipline of science, and of particular managerial functions. Student will learn to apply particular management methods and techniques used when executing managerial functions.

2.Manager's personality, managerial functions and roles (allowance 2/2)
3.Management environment (allowance 7/6)
a.External environment and its situation analysis
b.Internal environment and its situation analysis

4.Managerial functions in process concept (allowance 10/5)
a.Decision making in management
b.Planning and formation of business plans
c.Organizing, organisational structures
d.Leadership and motivation
e.Control in management

5.Strategic management (allowance 2/0)
a.Contents, tasks and process of strategic management
b.Types of business strategies

6.Production and operations management (allowance 5/0)
a.Characteristics of production and operations, operations strategy
b.Product design
c.Choice of location of operation capacities and principles of their lay-out
d.Operation's planning and management principles
e.Fundamentals of quality management

Learning outcomes and competences:

Subject is finished by credit test and final written examination. Student is classified based on points reached:
89 to 100 points - "A" (excellent)
77 to 88 points - "B" (very good plus)
65 to 76 points - "C" (very good)
53 to 64 points - "D" (good plus)
40 to 52 points - "E" (good)
Less than 40 points - "F" (failed).
