Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
To acquaint students with methods, procedures and legislative framework for planning in the country. Students gain basic information about contemporary trends in urban planning in the European and global context. The practical examples are explained the procedures for handling various types of planning documents, planning documents.
 
Course content:
1.Landscape - category, concept, content, taxonomy, classification, structure, standardization, classification of countries according to natural factors and cultural development of the country (allowance 4/4)
2.
Landscape-makers - the genesis, typing, processes, efficiency. Landscape elements - abiotic, biotic, anthropogenic, landscape as a self-regulatory system, landscape impacts, input-output linkages, balance of land (allowance 2/2)
3.
Cultural landscape - level antropizace, anthropogenic influences, cultural Landscape, and the types of conflicts, the use of (allowance 2/2)
4.Methods of landscape analysis and landscape assessment and landscape planning (level) - topical, choric, regional, supra- (allowance 2/2)
5.
Types of landscape planning - space, landscape, territorial, environmental, regional development plan (allowance 2/2)
6.
Landscape planning - goals, objectives, importance, development paradigms, organic synthesis of landscape, landscape synthesis method (allowance 2/2)
7.
International relations landscape planning (allowance 2/2)
8.
The strategy of sustainable development - concept, design, resources, strategic planning and forecasting (allowance 2/2)
9.Regional planning - legislation, objectives, tasks, planning information, members of the public, the municipalities, assess the impact on sustainable development in the area (allowance 2/2)
10.
Planning Tools - planning documents (planning analytical materials, geographical study), spatial development policy, planning documents (the principle of territorial development, land-use plan, control plan), zoning (allowance 2/2)
11.
The planning, special planning authorities, planning, EIA ties, regional approval, the built-up areas, territorial arrangements, the arrangement of relations in the territory, right of first refusal and compensation (allowance 2/2)
12.
Landscape Projects and Programs - revitalization programs, restoration, landscape, etc. (allowance 4/4)
