Aims of the course:
Students are introduced to and actively work with professional English related to trade.
Students are able to use and understand specific terms relevant to trade, sales, purchasing, domestic and foreign business operations and also to critically discuss important trade topics.

a.Definition of trade, trade importance and efficiency, barriers of trade
b.Functions and classification of trade
c.Perspectives of trade, historic evolution of trade in international view

2.Phraseology in international trade operations, retail and wholesale (allowance 0/5)

c.Supply Chain Management

3.Cooperation, integration and risks (allowance 0/6)
a.Contract and other trade documents, INCOTERMS
b.Vertical and horizontal cooperation, trade chains, franchising, Make-or-Buy decision, Hold-Up problem, Forrester effect
c.Risk management, risk classification and mitigation

The course credit is awarded based on course activity and written exam.
