Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
To prepare students for practical work in planning and designing special-purpose road network.
Course content:
1.Principles of the optimal design and reconstruction of the transport network of tertiary communications in various natural and economic circumstances, particularly with regard to the protection and landscaping. History, evolution and current trends of the open up of landscape. Forest roads network and terminology, layout, design, inventory, optimization. Rural roads network and the terminology, structure, design, inventory optimization. Hydro geological survey. The construction of earth road. Types of mechanization for forest roads construction. Operational stabilization of forest roads and sunning surface, used building materials. Modern technology and the specific construction and consolidation of tertiary roads, the main principles of their maintenances, repairs and renovations. Drainage facilities for tertiary roads, their function and construction materials. Economic criteria for construction and maintenance of the network of rural roads. External and internal communications aesthetic purpose in the landscape. (allowance 2/2)
