Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The goal is to broaden students' knowledge and skills in understanding the role of microorganisms in the management of biodegradable waste. Students obtain a deeper understanding of the metabolic pathways in microbial cells.
Course content:
waste management microbiology (allowance 15/15)
Detailed characteristics of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms, their nutrition, growth and metabolism
overview of technologies using microorganisms in the waste management
