Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The main goal of the course is to introduce the main concepts of contemporary political philosophy, concerning the roots and scope of political duty, the need to adapt to political authority, its limits and the foundations of democratic regimes and universal human rights. These concepts will then be applied to various political ideologies, which interpret these concepts in different ways. After completing the course, the student should gain knowledge about the diversity of modern political ideologies and their philosophical sources.
