Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
To gain knowledge about the main determinants of the development of agriculture in the context of qualitatively new conditions in agribusiness,get to know each other cross-interaction of economic reality and concepts, measures and instruments of agricultural policy.
Skills to apply knowledge about the system context of agrarian policies in specific conditions of the company, to identify the benefits and risks arising from practical applications in industry and business in the dynamics of the development.

Principles of Agricultural Economics in the Agribusiness environment (allowance 3/2)

Economic evaluation of contemporary agriculture and agrarian sector
b.Markets in commodity verticals, markets of production factors

2.Agricultural policy and regulatory intervention in the agrarian sector (allowance 3/2)
 
a.Background, concepts and instruments of agrarian policy
b.
Agricultural policy in practice / principles of the EU CAP and its reform, application in the Czech agrarian sector

Assessment methods:
Prerequisite for passing the test is processed submission essay on an assigned topic related to the issue of agrarian business economics and politics. The course is completed by a combination of the written exam (50% final evaluation) and the oral one (50% final evaluation)
