Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The goal is to students obtain the basic knowledge and skills about risk management. Presentation are divided to two blocks. In the first block are described various type of dangerous incidents for environment and safety of workers. In the second block is described prevention such as regulations, methods fo risk analyses etc. Students meet with assessment of risk in various technology such as waste technology, nuclear power stations, chemical industry.

Assessment methods:
The credit is awarded for the activity of students and for submission of the semester project. The examination is composed from writing part (the test with 20 open question) and oral part (debate on selected topics). The writing part takes 45 minutes and for each correctly answered question is awarded 1 point. The written part is accomplished when the student reaches more than 10 points. The final grade is formed on the basis of points which was awarded in the writing part and the ability of student to answer on the queston during the oral debate.
