Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The goal is to gain knowledge of basic economic and political context of the development of agriculture and forestry sectors as multifunctional mission and directly linked to the use of natural resources in a globalizing environment of agribusiness.Students will learn about general and specific characteristics of the agricultural and forestry sectors and verifies the ability to interpret in economic terms obtained knowledge of the specifics market factors of production especially with regard to the impact of land as a basic factor of production (valuation principles and factors of pricing). They will gain an overview of the key indicators of economic analysis and learn to apply and interpret the specific examples.

The specifics of agriculture and forestry, economic interpretation in context, productive and non-productive functions

Manifestations of globalization in the agricultural sector, forestry-wood complex, agribusiness

Global and regional context of agribusiness

Markets in agribusiness, types of markets, agencies, reciprocal links, category (allowance 10/0)
 
a.
Markets of products and services, specifics of the demand and supply formation, market equilibrium
b.
Factor market, price formation, economic rent and transfer earnings, soil as a basic factor of production, ovaluation of quality, principles and pricing factors
c.
Economic differentiation in the primary production businesses (agriculture and forestry) and the role of downstream stages of processing
