Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
This course explores contemporary tendencies of social change and development. It is designed to provide students ability of orientation in social problems and ability to understand complex power relations in the world. Students will obtain knowledge for critical evaluation of crucial topics and the controversies that accompany them. Important output of this course is also critical thinking about such issues with the respect to the variability of approaches to them.
