Aims of the course:
The course aims to deepen student’s knowledge and skills in the field of corporate finance to intermediate level. The students obtain the knowledge and skills in strategic financial management, risk management in financial decision-making including the appropriate quantitative tools, advanced methods for financial analysis, evaluation of investments and projects, corporate policies in relation to financial management. The students also gain the skills to assess the financial transaction with international element considering the corresponding risks.

a.Exchange rate, theory of exchange rate

5.Financial management during company transition (allowance 2/0)
a.Setting-up company, start-up financing
b.Financial decline and bankruptcy, company liquidation

Assessment methods:
Before enrolling for the exam, the full-time student shall obtain the course credit. The course credit is awarded to student that pass the seminar final test having at least a half of available points, i.e. at least 25 point from 50 available. The seminar final test consists of open questions, reasoning tasks and exercises. The student may re-sit the seminar final test ones.

The course exam is only written, it includes open questions, exercises and reasoning tasks. To pass the exam, the student has to reach at least 25 points from 50 available. According the Study and Examination Rules of Mendel University in Brno, the student may re-sit the exam twice. The final course grade is derived from sum of points from credit and exam test.
