Aims of the course:
Familiar with the graphic file formats and their use for specific purposes. Preparation and creation of digital graphic work. Methods of printing, archiving and presentation of this work. Use knowledge in specialized subjects.
Course contents:
1.Graphic file formats. (allowance 0/4)
a.Foundations of computer graphic.
b.Bitmap and vector files.
c.Image files and methods of their compression.
d.Sources of digital data.

2.Adobe Photoshop. (allowance 0/18)
a.User interface.
b.Editing and creating tools.
c.Importing/exporting graphic data (esp. CAD -> Photoshop).
d.Possibilities of creative work (retouching, collage, text, background, etc.).

3.Printing, archiving and presentation. (allowance 0/4)
a.Printing on large printers.
b.Print to PDF and DWF files.
c.Creating a presentations (PowerPoint, Acrobat).

Assessment methods:
Credit - Creation and presentation of the graphic works (part of studio work, poster or artistic architectural design-study) in print quality A3 size. The project must be tendered in native Photoshop format (PSD). Own project includes working with layers, layer groups, styles, masks etc.
