Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The course systematically explains the history of economic thought for the birth of classical political economics till the present day attitudes. The course is focused on complex understanding of mainstream theories and their consequences. The development of theory is used to deepen critical thinking in the field of economics.

Assessment methods:
Each student can obtain up to 100 points; 50 points during the study period (30 points = mid-term, 10 points = essay, 10 points = seminar activities); 50 points at the final exam test.

A – min. 90 points
B – min. 80 points
C – min. 70 points
D – min. 60 points
E – min. 50 points
F – less than 50 points

During the study period, each student must obtain at least 20 points to obtain the credit; in addition, each student must submit the essay and obtain more than 0 points.

The exam consists of two parts. The first part includes an open question: “Characterise a particular school of economic thought". The second part consists of 25 multiple choice questions; each student must obtain at least 20 points to pass the exam.

At the consulting form, the final evaluation is based on the results of the final exam.
