Aims of the course:
In this course, students will acquire knowledge and skills concerning testing, standardisation, and evaluation of conformity of engineering products with requirements of the Act n° 22/1997 Sb. and the quality management (pursuant provisions of ISO 9000/2000 standard and regulations concerning environmental aspects of quality management).
Course contents:
1.Technical normalisation, history of quality management, quality definition, system development. (allowance 2/2)
2.Quality in the US and Japan, look at quality management earlier and today. (allowance 2/2)
3.Development of quality management in the Czech Republic, development of normative regulations. (allowance 2/2)
4.Quality in the pre-production phase of the process - Process, Process Control, Feedback Cycle, P-D-C-A. (allowance 2/2)
5.Failure Mode and Affects Analysis - FMEA. (allowance 2/2)
6.Product Design and Modification: Quality Function Deployment (QFD). (allowance 2/2)
7.Quality in the production phase of the process - Statistical Process Control (SPC). (allowance 2/2)
8.7 basic quality management tools. (allowance 2/2)
9.Continuous statistical data analysis (SW MINITAB) (allowance 2/2)
10.Quality in the post-production phase of the process - Customer Satisfaction Assessment (KANO Model). (allowance 2/2)
11.Ways to get feedback from customers. (allowance 2/2)
12.Complaint management, how to implement feedback from customers to process inputs. (allowance 2/2)
13.Lean Six Sigma - Explanation of cycle D-M-A-I-C (allowance 2/2)
14.SIPOC: customers' voice, Methods 5S, Ishikawa, VSM, TPM, etc. (allowance 2/2)

Assessment methods:
Requirements for course completion:
Compulsory participation in seminars. Student must prepare a presentation on an assigned topic. Prepared presentation will be lectured by student. Time of presentation is minimum 20 minutes. Evaluated is the content, form and recitation, each part 10 points. Minimum for the credit is 24 points.
Requirements for examination:
Presumption for sign in the exam is a final credit from this course. The exam is written. Student must demonstrate adequate knowledge of the thematic units above. The written exam includes 4 questions. Student may receive a maximum 100 points. Student must answer at least 3 questions and get a total minimum 70 points.
