Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
Give an overview of technical solutions of individual machines and lines for treatment, recovery, recycling and disposal of various types of waste produced in agricultural production, processing of agricultural products in food, local sphere of rural settlements and regions. Study of this course also analyze the function of this technique in various technological processes of treatment, recycling, disposal of selected waste streams, technical calculations. Exploitation of these machines and equipment for efficient operation of this technique in practice.
 
Course content:
1.
The basic division of machines used in waste management. (allowance 4/4)
 
a.
Principles, procedures, methods and equipment for processing and recycling of the waste.
b.
Measurement systems, control and process control machinery and equipment in waste management.
c.
New trends and trends in machine design in waste management.

2.Equipment for bioenergy transformation. (allowance 4/3)
 
a.
Machinery and equipment for biogas production.
b.
Machinery and equipment for composting of biowaste.

Assessment methods:
For successful completion of this course is required mandatory participation in the seminars (30 % of the total mark). The course ends with an final oral examination (70% of the total mark). The course will succesfully ended on the basis of the credit and examination in the topics of the course that were discussed during the semester. The credit will be given on the minimal attendance at the course seminars including at least 75 %.
The course is ended on the basis of credit and then the exam. The oral exam follows the credit. Students will draw the topics of the oral exam. Then the student has time to prepare. Upon the successful completion of the exam is a sign entered into the index / UIS. Final grade of the test consists of the signs of oral exam and credit in the ratio 70:30.
