Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
In this course, students will learn about designing and functions of individual units and nodal points used in mobile energetic means. They will also learn about losses of power and performance balance within the process of energy transfer from the viewpoint of economics as well as environmental effects of mobile technology and energetic means. They will be able to evaluate efficiency of energy transfer within mobile energetic means.
 
Course content:
1.Concept in the construction of mobile energy vehicles (allowance 2/2)

Classification of combustion engines (allowance 2/2)
3.Technical parameters of combustion engines (allowance 2/2)
4.
Accessories for internal combustion engines (allowance 2/2)
5.
Characteristics of combustion engines (allowance 2/2)
6.
Mechanisms for transmission of driving force. Clutches, transmissions, reduction gearboxes, planetary gears, chassis. Force effects and wheel loading, driving force, grip coefficient, motion resistance, force balance of the vehicle, terra-mechanics (allowance 2/2)
7.
Fuel for combustion engines (allowance 2/2)
8.Emissions of combustion engines and devices for their reduction (allowance 2/2)
9.
Force effects in tractor and attachment, force effects in truck, contact specific ground pressure, maximum specific pressure (allowance 2/2)
10.
Adhesion coefficient, dependence of slipping on adhesion coefficient, vehicles with several driven axles (allowance 2/2)
11.Work of machine aggregates on slopes, longitudinal stability, transversal stability, working angles. Methods of estimation of the height of gravity centre (allowance 2/2)
12.
Output balance, mechanic, slipping, rolling and pulling efficiency. Output losses, effective outputs and traction power. (allowance 2/2)
13.Pulling characteristics, their changes, assembly of tractor aggregations (allowance 2/2)
14.

Assessment methods:
Compulsory attendance at exercises. Hand over and defense of protocols assigned during the semester. Final written and oral examination, a total duration 50 min.Written examination, calculation of given examples. To meet the requirements min. 70 points out of 100. Overall rating, the sum of points from written and oral at least 65%.
