Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
Knowledge of the theoretical principles, the main factors and foundations of agrarian policy in the economic context of development of agricultural and agrarian sector in terms of agribusiness, to understand the economic substance, efficiency and mutual relations of the basic tools of agrarian policy in relation to the development of economic reality, the choice of strategy and the concept of fundamental models.
Skills to apply knowledge about the system context of agrarian policies in specific conditions of the company, identify the benefits and risks arising from practical applications in industry and business development in the dynamics of the business environment.

Economic fundamentals, background and context of the formation of agrarian policy in general (allowance 6/2)
 
a.Theoretical basis and economic rationale for regulatory intervention in the agrarian sector
b.Agricultural Policy in the context of general economic policy - the reasons, objectives, resources

2.Types and forms of state interference in the agrarian sector (allowance 6/2)
 
a.Principles and forms of the government regulatory intervention in the agrarian sector
b.
Economic analysis of decisive areas and agricultural policy instruments

3.
The basic models of agrarian policy (allowance 6/12)
 
a.
Principles, tools and development of the common agricultural policy of the European Union
b.
Principles, tools and development of the U.S. agrarian policy
c.
Principles, tools and development od policy in the Czech agrarian sector

4.
Agricultural policy in the dynamics of agribusiness development (allowance 6/8)

The influence of globalization processes related to economic development in the agrarian sector

Current issues of the EU CAP reform process and its implementation in terms of CR

Assessment methods:
The course is completed with an oral examination verifying the theoretical knowledge (50 %) as well as the application part (50 %) of subject taught. A prerequisite for the granting of credit and the possibility to log the exam is successful completion of the test, processing and presentation of seminar work during the semester.
