Aims of the course:
Subject corrosion protection contains a treatise on the complex degradation mechanisms in materials with an emphasis on moving closer to the real conditions of corrosive degradation. The priority is to gain knowledge of thermodynamic and kinetic fundamentals of corrosion, understanding of the types of corrosion attack and their synergic effect on the degradation of modern construction materials, metal and macromolecular origin influences physical, chemical or biological, respectively. their effective protection.
Course contents:
1.Introduction to corrosion, types of corrosion attack (allowance 0/0)
2.Thermodynamics and kinetics of corrosion processes, stray currents, electrochemical and chemical corrosion (allowance 0/0)
3.Corrosion of nonferrous metals, intergranular corrosion, corrosion and stress corrosion protective coatings (allowance 0/0)
4.Special types of corrosion degradation, corrosion inhibitors, Corrosion tests, Corrosion of reinforced concrete structures (allowance 0/0)
