Aims of the course:
The course is focused on acquiring basic knowledge and skills in modeling using 2D CAD software (TurboCAD) from making basic entities, their editing to final documentation design.
 
Course contents:
1.Basic information about CAD - (history of the development of CAD software, the most widely used CAD applications; TurboCAD version, TurboCAD file formats and import other CAD formats) (allowance 0/2)
2.Basic setup and control software (application window and controls, basic user settings, drawing settings, displaying objects, coordinate systems, layers, their creation and use, drawing aids and their settings, model space and paper space) (allowance 0/4)
3.Drawing basic objects (angular curve, perpendicular, parallel, vertical and horizontal lines, drawing circles, inserting ellipses, rectangles, multiline; editing objects construction lines) (allowance 0/4)
4.Manipulating objects (commands shift, turn, mirror, copy, copy field) 0 2 (allowance 0/2)
5.Inserting objects from other applications (insert other files, images, and OLE objects) (allowance 0/2)
6.Modification of objects (modification via nodal points, trim, extend, stretching and connection objects, fillets, chamfers objects; making links) (allowance 0/2)
7.Hatching (setting hatch - hatch pattern creation, creating borders Hatch, Hatch modification, associative hatches) (allowance 0/2)
8.Blocks and external references (the principle of using blocks and external references, creating blocks and their insertion; external reference) (allowance 0/2)
9.Dimension (dimension settings; practical dimension; editing dimensions) (allowance 0/2)
10.Text entities (setting the font style, text editor, text modification) (allowance 0/2)
11.Creating a drawing (a drawing room; use the slots for drawing creation, drawing dimensioning, drawing, printing, comparing drawings, export to other CAD formats) (allowance 0/4)
