Aims of the course:
Subject target introduce students to furniture design according to their function and end use of the product, ergonomics, safety, requirements, typology, construction, technology and material.
Course contents:
1.Introduction of the basic rules for furniture design (allowance 13/0)

c.Aesthetic - influence of period of time
d.Research and experiment
e.Quality, functionality and durability of the product
f.Systematic production process
g.Individual approach in the production process
h.Storage abilities and simple assembly
i.Economic aspect, recycling and liquidation of products
j.Patents and rights reservation
k.Take over and use of experience

2.Designers personality and his creativity (allowance 1/0)
a.Literature survey according to chosen project

3.Introduction to practicals (allowance 0/4)
a.Requirements and methodology of work

c.Definitions in design-composition, symmetry, proportions, dynamic and static axis

4.Project proposal according to lay out (allowance 0/8)

Assessment methods:
Subject evaluation is carried out on the basis of clause works during term in the form of printed portfolio of the projects.
Minimum participation in the exercise is 80%. Credit forms the basis of the two-part final works 60% continuous assessment 40%)
