Aims of the course:
In this course, students will learn about prospective trends and tendencies in the development of hydraulic and pneumatic mechanisms used in mobile means of transportation. They will be informed about individual hydraulic systems and methods of their testing.
Course contents:
1.Fluids used in hydraulic mechanisms and their operational properties. (allowance 2/2)
2.Fluid properties, dynamic and kinematic viscosity. (allowance 2/2)
3.Hydrostatic converters. Axial piston hydrostatic converters. (allowance 2/2)
4.Radial piston hydrostatic converters. Other hydrogenerators and motors. (allowance 2/2)
5.Control elements in hydraulic drives. Control of pressure and flow, proportional valves. (allowance 2/2)
6.Regulation of constant flow, pressure and output. (allowance 2/2)
7.Hydraulic locks, hydraulic elements for control of fluid reserves - accumulators. (allowance 2/2)
8.Sealing devices, conduction of hydraulic fluids and filters. (allowance 2/2)
9.Hydrostatic drives, hydrostatic drive control. (allowance 2/2)
10.Combinations of hydrostatic and mechanic drives. (allowance 2/2)
11.Pneumatic converters. Pneumatic generators and motors. (allowance 2/2)
12.Evaluation of hydrostatic and pneumatic drives, diagnostics of fluid mechanisms. (allowance 2/2)
13.Control elements of pneumatic mechanisms. Special pneumatic components. Pneumatic circuits. (allowance 2/2)
14.Possibilities of automatic regulation of hydrostatic driving mechanism of mobile energetic means. (allowance 2/2)

-Knowledge of the structure of each type of hydrostatic transmitters and their functional elements.

Assessment methods:
Compulsory attendance at exercises. Hand over and defense of protocols assigned during the semester. Final written and oral examination, a total duration 50 min.Written examination, calculation of given examples. To meet the requirements min. 70 points out of 100. Overall rating, the sum of points from written and oral at least 65%.
