Aims of the course:
Acquiring of the main knowledges and skills in computer technique. Achievment of elementary independence in operation with computer equipement, operating system and main programme enviromnent. Knowledges of the main algoritms used in data processing.

2.Fundamentals of operating systems (allowance 2/2)
a.OS X and mobile OS
b.Windows (text and graphical user interface)
c.Principles of operating systems, benefits and ways of communicating with the user

3.Hardware and software maintenance (allowance 2/2)
b.Optimize registers and temporary files
c.Software update

4.Computer software (allowance 2/2)
a.Table Processors. MS Excel
b.Text processing and basic typography. MS Word
c.Presentation. MS Powerpoint
d.basic file formats

5.Fundamentals of Computer Networking and the Internet (allowance 2/2)
a.Wifi access

6.Possibilities of using embedded functions in spreadsheets (allowance 2/2)

Assessment methods:
Solution and oral defence of the real data processing problem. Solution of the problem is presented as seminar work in the format of the programme Word. Document must contain problem description, explanantion of the solution, tables and graphs of the input and output data and result discussion. Document style must be equal to the diploma thesis of the AF MENDELU.
