Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
The student will get an overview of the hardware and software of personal computers and networks. They will get acquainted with the possibilities and ways of using computer technology in their professional life, will learn their practical use and practice their work in the computer network. The course covers M2, M3, M4, M6, M7 and M12 modules of the ECDL/ICDL international digital literacy concept (see ecdl.org) and provides full preparation for the eventual acquisition of the ECDL Start Certificate (Digital Literacy) and the basis for obtaining the Certificate ECDL (Digital Qualification).

Assessment methods:
The completion of the course requires the Microsoft Word text processor test during the semester and the final knowledge-skill test in the exam period. The Word test contains 2-3 mandatory tasks and approximately 10 scores. Required tasks must be fulfilled and at least half of the points achieved. The final test contains approximately 20 questions and tasks, at least 50% points are required to complete it. Incorrect answers to closed questions are penalized by negative points (so-called guess correction). The course can also be studied during a foreign trip.
