Aims of the course:
The aim of the course is to develop students' skills and to improve their abilities to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the course of their studies. The will master the methodology and principles necessary for solving tasks related to working out their diploma theses.
The course explain the principles of suggesting, writing and defending the diploma thesis. It gives also the general and specific recommendations for the structure, methods, referencing and formal aspect of the thesis. Then the student work out the intent of the thesis in close cooperation of supervisor.
 
Course contents:
1.Diploma thesis, topic selection and other formal steps, dean's rules for thesis, intent of the thesis (allowance 4/0)
2.Specification of aim and methods in diploma thesis (allowance 2/0)
3.Referencing in scientific outcomes, citation ethics (allowance 4/0)
4.Formal layout of diploma thesis (allowance 4/0)

Assessment methods:
Course credit is earned for the diploma thesis assignment. Fulfilment of requirements is granted by the thesis supervisor for meeting the tasks given to the student by him.
Course can be studied during the study placement.
