Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
Subject manufacturing processes and logistics acquaints students with a practical approach to deciding on the operation of equipment for the production of wood products and composite materials - economic and technological aspects. Characterizes the logistics systems and processes in the field of wooden constructions.
 
Course content:

Preparation for production of wood products, its technical and technological requirements. (allowance 2/2)
2.Theoretical recourses and practical approach to deciding on the operation of equipment for the production of wood products and composite materials - economic and technological aspects. (allowance 2/2)
3.
The manufacturing process, structure, technology and workflow for individual types ofproductions. (allowance 2/2)
4.Analysis of work activities and types of events and time consumption. (allowance 2/2)
5.Methods of investigation and measurement of time consuption. (allowance 2/2)
6.
Analysis of time consumption, picture of workday, pictures of operations (allowance 2/2)
7.
Process analysis of the process flow (allowance 2/2)
8.
Calculations of consumption of time and material costs in production, technology studies, capacity calculations of operations and technology nodes (allowance 2/2)
9.
Characteristics of logistics systems and processes in the field of wooden constructions (allowance 2/2)
10.
The role of wooden constructions, distribution, storage, transportation and material handling (allowance 2/2)
11.
Infrastructure and information systems in logistics, mathematical-economic methods in logistics and their use (allowance 2/2)

Assessment methods:
Evaluation of participation in lectures and seminars, submission of a seminar work during the semester -- submission of a project /defence/ presentation.
Written test - 1 written test will be during the course. Maximum points for test is 15. Test will be written 5th of the semester. Participation on the written test is compulsory.
The course is finished with oral exam (50% of the total mark). Participation on test is compulsory.
