Aims of the course:
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with logistics in a wider perspective of managerial logistics, management of operational processes up to optimization in quality and transport systems. Students will be introduced to selected mathematical models and methods used in logistics on specific logistic problems. Students will acquire the ability to focus on logistics applied to the agro-sector and the ability to decide on logistical problems and communication with experts in the field.
 
Course contents:
1.Introduction to the subject - terminology (allowance 1/1)
2.Quality management as a framework of logistics processes (allowance 1/1)
3.Definition of logistics, position of logistics in the company management systems (allowance 1/1)
4.Managerial logistics (allowance 1/1)
5.Specifics of the agrosector in terms of process control (allowance 1/1)
6.Logistics and production management in the areas of supply (allowance 1/1)
7.Classification of the transport material - Handling transport units, standardization (allowance 1/1)
8.Functions of the transport system in the logistics system in the specifics of the agrosector (allowance 1/3)
9.Logistic chains and logistic networks (allowance 1/1)
10.Information in logistics - identification systems (allowance 1/0)
11.Business Logistics in Agrosector (allowance 1/0)
12.Economic context of logistics systems (allowance 1/1)

Assessment methods:
test, elaboration of the seminar study forms the basis for granting the credit and the evaluation from seminars consists of 30% of the final mark by the oral exam
