Aims of the course:
Students learn basic terminology of Engineering. After an exam student should be able to professional communicate with technicians, staff sellers and repairmen. Student will be also manage to judge suitability of designed material, corrosion protection and technology of specific machinery components and technical parameters of machines and equipment.

2.Technical drawing requirements (allowance 6/6)
 
a.Technical drawing requirements
b.Ways of screening, drawing and quotation
c.Dimensional tolerances, variations of shape and position of functional areas, the surface roughness

3.Technical control (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Measuring of length, shape and surface roughness
b.Measuring errors

4.Machine parts production (allowance 6/6)
 
a.Casting, forming, welding
b.Overview of tilth technology, cutting conditions and production environmental aspects

5.Machine parts and mechanisms (allowance 3/3)
 
a.Demountable and non-demountable connections
b.Pins, axles, shafts, bearings
c.Gearings mechanisms

6.Corrosion and corrosion protection (allowance 2/2)
 
a.Corrosion partition, principles of corrosion, factors affecting the process of corrosion
b.Technology of corrosion protection
c.Corrosion tests, test the effectiveness of protective surface protection
d.Corrosion protection environmental aspects

7.Physical basics of technology (allowance 3/3)

Assessment methods:
For awarding the credit is required a drawing of specific technical machine part.
The test includes didactic test on the computer (min. 60% success rate) and an oral part, where the student draws two or three questions. It also examines the understanding of the training programs in the field of engineering.
