Aim of the course and learning outcomes:
From basic concepts of statics, dynamics and kinematics despite the effects of loading on elements and structure to learn to design and assess component parts of buildings.
Course content:
1.Principles of statics (allowance 5/4)
a.composition and decomposition of forces
b.conditions of equilibrium of forces
c.static torque

Static variables section (allowance 2/2)
center of gravity
radii and moments of inertia of composite sections
section modulus

Flexibility and strength (allowance 2/2)
compressive stress
buckling, torsion, shear and bending
tension in eccentric pressure and stroke

The basic types of friction (allowance 2/2)
Calculation of load on structures and their assessment according to the theory of limit states (allowance 1/0)
Simple beam (allowance 4/4)
a.Simple beam design and evaluation for various types of loading

Assessment methods:
Each student is practicing substance in the examples throughout the semester gives 25 examples. To prepare three credit reports that include computing and graphics solutions. Class exam is divided into 2 parts. The first part is written during the semester and the second at the end. To successfully manage must have at least 70% correct for each test.
The exam is in written form. Questions are theoretical and computational. To develop the student 60 min. To successfully manage must have at least 70% correct answers.
