Aims of the course:
The aim is to teach students the basics of machine parts dimensioning and make them the ability to apply previously acquired theoretical knowledge in determining the sizes and shapes of machines parts. To teach students to implement a technical idea in the form of technical documentation. For these purposes is necessary to get knowledge and skills in using computer technology.
Students gain advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering and construction machinery, advanced skills demonstrating mastery in this field and orientation in the solution of structural problems.

Learning outcomes and competences:

Specific competences:
 
-Ability to design and display machine parts
-Ability to implement technical ideas through the medium of projects (technical documentation including technical drawings)
-Ability to review the cause of machine failure (of machinery part) from the point of view of production technology
-Address the issue of life of the machines.
-Analyze the stress components and application materials.
-Assessment of failure and damage of objective machines and machinery equipment
-Assessment of operational safety of objective machines and machinery equipment
-Assessment of technical conditions of objective machines and machinery equipment
-General knowledge of material engineering
-Knowledge of functional parts cosnstruction of the mechanism for power transmission
-Skills for intersubjective knowledge integration
-Student knows the basics of the technic drawing
