Aims of the course:
The students are trained and get familiarize with basic and technical terminology, with physical processes and possible use of general knowledge in physical and technical area. The students learn how to operate different measuring and experimental devices and how to perform technical measurements. Solving of typical and practical technical problems is presented.

1.Main physical quantities.International system of physical units. Vectors and scalars. Selected problems of mass particle motion (allowance 2/0)

2.Dynamics of mass particle.Systems of particles. Introduction to solid body mechanics. Introduction to deformable body mechanics. (allowance 4/0)
 
a.Newton`s laws of motion
b.Collisions of bodies
c.The center of mass. The center of gravity

3.Thermal motion.The heat capacities.Thermodznamics of ideal gases (allowance 4/0)
 
a.The first and second laws of the thermodynamics
b.The efficiency of heat engines

4.Introduction to the fluid mechanics. The basis of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. Viscosity. The main real fluids (allowance 4/0)
 
a.Euler`s equation of hydrostatics
b.Bernoulli equation
c.Viscosity of fluid and gases

5.The electric field (allowance 4/0)
 
a.Coulomb`s law
b.Polarisation. Permitivity

6.Moving charges and electric currents.Ohm`s law. (allowance 4/0)
 
a.Electric current. Current density

7.The magnetic field. Forces in magnetic field. parramagnetism.Diamagnetism.Ferromagnetism. (allowance 4/0)
 
a.Biot - Savart Law

8.Electromagnetic field.Main characteristics. Electromagnetic waves. (allowance 2/0)
