Aims of the course: |
To acquire a good knowledge in the field of degradation of technical materials, machines and machine parts as well as in the field of technical maintenance, repairs of machinery and renovation technologies important for decision-making about possible repairs. |

Course contents: |
1. | Degradation of machine parts. (allowance 2/2) | 2. | Wear, corrosion, deformations. Ruptures, breaks, other types of damage. (allowance 2/2) | 3. | Technical maintenance of machines. (allowance 2/2) | 4. | Washing, washing stations and equipment, legislation concerning washing, liquidation of washing sediments. (allowance 2/2) | 5. | Lubrication and care about lubrication systems. Technology of lubrication, lubricants. Storage of and handling with lubricants. (allowance 2/2) | 6. | Care about tyres, batteries, belt and chain drives. (allowance 2/2) | 7. | Garages and machine stores. Machine preservation. (allowance 2/2) | 8. | Repairs - Disassembly technologies, cleaning and degreasing of machine parts. (allowance 2/2) | 9. | Technical control and classification of machine parts, preparation of assemblies. (allowance 2/2) | 10. | Assembly, adjustment and running-up of machines, finishing. (allowance 2/2) | 11. | Renovation to repair dimensions, renovation to original dimensions, surfacing. (allowance 2/2) | 12. | Renovation by means of galvanisation, application of plastic materials and composites. Assessment methods: |
Final credit, examination
For final credit is necessary 80% participation at seminars and participation in excursion in the manufacturing service. During the semester, students take two credit tests with a maximum score of 15 points each. The minimum score for credit is 20 points.
Examination: Presumption for sign in the exam is a final credit from this course. Examination is written and verbal. The written part includes 5 questions. Student must answer at least 75% each. The verbal part of the exam consists of two supplementary questions. The student must demonstrate min. knowledge of 80% of the information that was given in lectures and exercises. |
