Aims of the course:
In this course, students will be informed about individual technologies of forwarding, loading, unloading and warehousing. Students also will learn about organisation of domestic and international haulage and about organisation and operation of combined truck transportation.
 
Course contents:
1.Theoretical basics of transport technology - basic concepts. (allowance 1/1)
2.Transportation systems in the Czech Republic. Choice of mode and mode of transport used. (allowance 1/1)
3.Technical basis of road freight transport. Technological and operational requirements for means of transport. (allowance 2/2)
4.Road freight transport activities. (allowance 1/1)
5.Criteria for road freight transport. (allowance 1/1)
6.Capacity of transport and means of transport in automotive transport. (allowance 2/2)
7.Basic methods of solving traffic problems in road freight transport and their optimization. (allowance 4/4)
8.Active and passive logistic elements. Means and devices for the identification, tracking and identification of passive and active elements. Basis for combined transport. (allowance 2/2)
9.International road freight transport. (allowance 1/1)
10.European agreement on vehicle crews exploitation AETR. (allowance 2/2)
11.Fastening of freight load. (allowance 1/1)
12.Linking road freight to other modes of transport. Combined transport. (allowance 2/2)
13.Transport in agriculture. (allowance 2/2)
14.Transport and the environment. Ecological aspects of each type of freight transport. (allowance 2/2)

Assessment methods:
Compulsory attendance at exercises. Hand over and defense of protocols assigned during the semester. Final written and oral examination, a total duration 50 min.Written examination, calculation of given examples. To meet the requirements min. 70 points out of 100. Overall rating, the sum of points from written and oral at least 65%.
